One World Currency 2012

July 17, 2012

This weekend I was at Oregon Country Fair serving food at my food booth the “Ring Of Fire.”  I had decided to give food away on the last day of the event, Sunday at a Potlatch or a give away. I sat in front of my booth kneeling down, greeting my customers one by one as they knelt down in front of me. I would bow to them and they to me, then I would whisper in their ear that “Money grows on trees” they would usually giggle a little bit as I directed them over a path of coins to pick what they would like to eat. Then after they had picked what they wanted to eat, they were directed to walk under the limbo stick on their way out. Often when I told them that money grows on trees they would look up at the trees above take money out of their pocket and drop it from the sky into a pile of money sitting next to me on the ground. The bills seemed to drop like leaves from a tree in a fall breeze. I serve mangoes, pineapple, and coconut ice cream at my food booth all of which come from a tree. Yes money does grow on trees it is very true. When the leadership of the fair found out that I was giving food away it caused great alarm. There is a food booth committee that decided that by giving food away, that I was taking money away from the other vendors and their greed glands took over. They went in behind my back as I sat peacefully greeting my customers in front of my booth and told my crew that they would kick every one out of fair if they did not stop cooking food. Then the fair kicked me out of the fair and told me that I would be trespassing and that I would be arrested if I stayed. Then they told me that I could not return and that I had to remove the permanent booth that I had built this year at considerable expense. The masters generosity strikes again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The country fair, is a bunch of think that they know it all, sudo-intellectual hippie snobs. It’s a clic! The way that they talk, is different from what they do. I quit going to the fair almost 5 years ago. Good riddens! Pardon my language, but Fuck them!

The people at the Country Fair, are a bunch of sudo-intellectual hippie snobs. What they say they are, is different from who they are, and what they actually do. I quit going to the fair over 5 years ago. Pardon my language, but Fuck them!

It’s a private clic! They think that they’re too good for most of us regular people.

I am posting this on Fakebook and inciting a dialogue about how ridiculous this is. Praise and support for your gesture my friend. Your act was amazing, not to mention generous and thought-provoking.

My daughter refers to the Fair as the Hippie Yachat Club, sad that all we wanted to change and evolve away from, we recreated
