Granary Project
This page is dedicated to the acknowledgment that our current fiat based economy has made scarcity of food a critical issue.
Food production and distribution must become a priority of the new economy.
Money can be grown on trees and be distributed to all in need.
World food reserves must be steadily increased, we must refill the granary.
Water scarcity must be addressed.
Seed banking and exchange to protect biodiversity.
Loaves and Fishes
The Granary is where some of the first money in many civilizations came from. Grain was grown by the farmers and deposited in side the store house or granary. Often times these granaries were kept inside castle walls and guarded by the kings army. The farmers would be given a receipt for deposit of grain that could be redeemed later. Often times these receipts could be divided up and traded for other goods or services or “spent into the economy” where the holder could redeem the receipt for grain at the granary. By having a money system backed by food, it promoted food production and made a money system that had to be sustainable. Money should be in plentiful supply in order to be useful as a tool for measurement. If money is in short supply we have no means to measure or contributions to society.
